(PLEASE ALWAYS link ALL STATEMENTS AND ARGUMENTS done in career plan WITH CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT) My main objectives after completion of LLM program (if I get the scholarship) are : 1- I plan to get a position of Assistant TAx Manager or Manager in the International Tax Department of Ernst & Young C么te d’Ivoire or PriceWAterhouseCooopers C么te d’Ivoire because of my double Master Degree in the field of tax in order to broaden/strengthen my scope/my skills by learning the British and European tax system, and to ‘fill in the gaps’ of my knowledge of international taxation applicable in C么te d鈥橧voire. In fact, LLM program will definitely boost my professional development by enhancing my problem-solving skills in a cross-border context and Since I prepared the the ADIT Certificate (Advanced Diploma in International Taxation) (website : https://www.tax.org.uk/adit-international-tax). This certificate will also give me a relevant recognition in the field of International Tax in the eyes of tax professionals around the world. And allow to add a value on my tax assignments and be a major asset for my firm for the purpose of winning tax assistance assignments on the problems encountered by foreign investors (especially British) in C么te d’Ivoire. 2- After 12 years in the Law firm as Director or Tax Partner, I intend to integrate the International cooperation department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in charge of signing tax treaties with foreign states in order to give my country my robust knowledge in international tax law acquired by my LLM in International Tax in the UK and my relevant experience in the field in tax law firms in Abidjan. I am convinced that C么te d’Ivoire’s economic growth inevitably depends on the inflow of foreign capital and international cooperation, which can not be properly implemented in the absence of double taxation agreements. 3- I am also plan to create a specialized distance learning program (in which I’ll give courses) for Tax Law professionals working in the foreign firms represented in CI in order to enable them to reinforce their skills by following a quality program offered by a recognized University in the UK while pursuing their respective jobs in C么te d’Ivoire. This could be achieved through a partnership with one of the Universities I chose as part of the Chevening program. I can quote the program of EMLyon Distance (MsC Finance) of a duration of 15 months which meets a great success at this moment in Ivory Coast and very prized by the bankers and financiers for the added value brought to their profile of career. As a result, companies are increasingly encouraging their workers to participate in this training by paying a share of training costs.
