How technologies that allow for self employment impact a persons well being

My teacher is really strict about not making papers book reports (all factual) she wants it to be almost completely opinionated throughout the entire essay. Also I was going to make my prompt basically “How beneficial are the new technologies that allow for self employment in positively impacting a person’s well being?” and argue why it is beneficial proving it with popular sources and then also a scholarly source. Even though my thesis is broad about technologies i want the whole essay to use Uber as an example of a technology that provides elf employment and also how it is specifically beneficial to retired / elderly people to stay socially connected and feel like they have a more rich life connecting with the people in their community. There also needs to be a counter argument towards the end about how its annoying when Uber drivers talk your ear off but they are just looking to have social interaction and that you could be making their day so suck it up basically.
