Article 28: How to stop climate change: The Easy Way.

1. As proposed in “How to Stop Climate Change: The Easy Way,” what does the author cite as “a big win-win” in the tropics, and how and why does he suggest it be accomplished? Explain it briefly.

Essay: Based on a major Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, on Feb 3, 2007 New York Times article titled “Science Panel Calls Global Warming ‘Unequivocal’ by E. Rosenthal and A. Revkin” concluded for the first time that Global Warming (GW) is “unequivocal” and that human activity is the main driver, “very likely” causing most of the rise in temperatures since 1950. The author of the article describe that there are three steps of strategy for stopping climate change: (1) Stop debating, start doing; (2) Focus on the big wins; and (3) Use Technology. Investigate if this strategy would work to stop or even to reduce the impacts of climate change.
