There were not many points of confusion for me. One question though, may be the understanding of the times and how that impacted the way the highlighted people moved around in life. How that affected their decisions, especially when comparing it to modern life.

I am finding it easier knowing that the place of Luke’s gospel in the Bible is the collection of stories before Jesus’s time. I thought it was helpful to know about Joseph and Mary’s story before the birth of Jesus. It also speaks of his time on Earth amongst his people as a healer. It was also helpful to know that the New Testament takes place 400 years after the last book of the Old Testament.

I have only followed the Bible when the gospel and readings were read when I would go to catholic mass. I did not know that there were certain themes and perspectives in the different gospel books. When the gospels were read during mass, I would wonder why a section from the book of Luke would sound different than a section in the book of Matthew. I was confused and thought that all of Jesus’s disciples thought and saw him in the same way.
